Most of these are not true essentials. I've had a baby and have another on the way. I've seen so many videos like this of "essential" items but they're not. My idea of essentials is a crib, a simple pack and play or cheap bassinet. The baby won't sleep in them for very long. Others are diapers, wipes, cream, baby tub, towels, wash cloths, and other bath items, muslim swaddles, burp clothes, clothes, a pad for breast therapy, storage bags, nipple cream, breast pump, washable nursing pads, momcozy breast feeding pillow, bottles, pacifiers, teethers, nosefrida, nail trimmer/file (not the electric one) a baby swing, a good diaper bag, car seat, medicines, infantino carrier, ubbi steel diaper pale, drool bibs, thermometer, baby monitor, sheets, depending on the month baby is born, a car seat cover which can be used as a blanket or nursing cover, stroller, play mat and probably a few other items I'm missing. We kept our crib, crib mattress, stroller with car seat, playmat, and swing, and (not including baby clothes) our registry is under $500! Things in this and in other "essential items" videos are so overpriced or not necessary, and things I see a lot of moms say they rarely or never used are bassinet, changer pad, sound machine, haka, snuggle me pillow, expensive swaddles, over priced baby monitors (especially the wifi ones), baby formula machines, high priced clothes over $15 dollars, baby detergent, and so on. Maybe I'm just overthinking it, but with our first baby, we were broke and could only afford the true essentials with help from family. We couldn't afford the nice/lavish baby items because we could barely afford to feed ourselves. With this second baby I know the true essentials and have asked around and watched other youtube videos to see if I'm missing anything and I haven't come across anything new that seems like it would be worth getting as an essential.

It's called a penis, not a winkey. My baby will never need anything on his penis because I'm not going to mutilate him. Furthermore, I'm still watching, but as I'm sitting here pregnant with #3, most of this is unnecessary.

As a new mother I personally think most of this is very expensive and unecesary. I might have heard wrong, but I hope you were not telling parents to give their babies D vitamin without consulting a doctor.

I always said tot myself I would use pampers harmonie. Becouse they weer like you said perfect! Until I read about the microplastics that are in the diapers from pampers. Even in the pure or harmonie edition. So no pampers for my baby. Microplastics are endocrine disruptors. What have negative effects on furtility and brain development. But overal loved this video! ❤ Really good tips! 😊

Buyer beware! As a mom of two, I purchased the Bebcare monitors because their claim that it’s low emf. We ran into issues with the monitors and returned them per their return policy only for Bebcare to scam me and take my money. They got their products back in perfect condition. They claimed that returns could take up to 8 weeks to be processed and blamed my bank as the reason for the delay. They never refunded me. Any mamas looking into purchasing, please take a quick look at their Better Business Bureau rating before buying. There’s no way a shady company could be producing what it claims to be producing.

Its so crazy i have nearly every item you have mentioned in this video. I can say i agree the bouncer is amazing. So simple but effective, the seated positioning and comfort it offers is great and my son loves to rock himself! Things youve mentioned that i dont have i will now be looking into. 😊

I wanted to say, i had both the my breast friend and the boppy and i didnt like the my breast friend because im taller and felt like i had to lean down to feed my baby in a way that just made my back hurt a ton but the boppy was awesome because its thicker and lifts the baby up a bit more. In the very begining id actually sometimes use both because i had a very tiny preemie and together it lifted her up quite a bit higher. Im also larger chested but im not sure if that makes a difference or not as far as which pillow i just threw it out there incase it had anything to do with one working over another. But the my best friend is great for some people im not discounting it, my petite sister actually preferred that which is why i think height might make a difference in pillow preference. Just hope this might help someone trying to chose.

You know would really have to include decorating a fancy nursery if you are on a budget. Babies don't care! Only 1 out of my 5 actually slept in a crib at night. You can decorate a room later when they are old enough to appreciate it. Would spend the money on things like a really good non nursery looking comfy rocker
